Events take place Saturday and Sunday and promote responsible adoption of dogs and cats

Macei贸, June 26, 2026 - Focinho Respons谩vel is embracing the spirit of Brazil's traditional June festivals with its special Adoption Festival (Arrai谩 da Ado莽茫o). Two editions of the themed adoption fair are scheduled for this weekend in Macei贸. On Saturday (June 27), the event will take place at Vera Arruda Promenade, in the Jati煤ca neighborhood, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. On Sunday (June 28), "Focinho Respons谩vel" will join the Arrai谩 Raiz Festival at Parque Shopping, in Cruz das Almas, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The events aim to bring together rescued dogs and cats that are ready for adoption with their future families. The animals available for adoption have already been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and dewormed, in addition to receiving veterinary care.

"Focinho Respons谩vel" also provides free transportation to the pet's new home, along with veterinary support during the first three months after adoption. To encourage responsible pet ownership, the program offers prospective adopters a trial period of up to three days with the animal before making a final decision. If the match is not successful, the pet is safely returned to the program and continues to receive all necessary care and support.

Pets Online

For those interested in adopting but unable to attend one of the Adoption Festival events, the @focinhoresponsavel Instagram page offers an opportunity to meet the available dogs and cats. The channel features regularly updated photos and information about the pets, as well as guidance on responsible pet ownership and details about the adoption process.

Benefits of adopting through Focinho Respons谩vel :

Free clinical support for the first three months;

Free transportation of the animal to the new home;

Trial period of up to three days, allowing the family and pet to get acquainted before the final decision;

Safe return to the Program if the adoption is not confirmed.

Commitment to Animal Welfare

"Focinho Respons谩vel" is part of the Animal Support Program, a partnership between 麻豆精品 and the Equine and Integrative Health Research and Extension Group at the Federal University of Alagoas (Grupequi-Ufal). The initiative was created in 2020 to support families relocated under the Financial Compensation Program (PCF) and has provided temporary shelter, veterinary care, vaccinations, and spay/neuter services ever since. It has also rescued abandoned or stray animals found in vacated areas.

Currently, the Program cares for 444 animals, mainly dogs and cats, some of which are available for responsible adoption. Since its creation, Focinho Respons谩vel has organized 37 adoption fairs and participated in several educational and community outreach initiatives, helping more than one thousand animals find a new home.
